Our assembly

Last week it was our assembly! The theme of our assembly was stereotypes. We did a play I got say "some of them look different to us". We also got to do a dance, I was in the front row. And I also got to introduce the dance. Here are some photos! ( I'm the one in the green dress)

Water filter experiment!

Today we did an experiment! This nice lady called Sally came into our school. She told us all about the water cycle, we acted it out too! After that, we got to do our experiments. We tried all the different objects ( sand, cotton balls, paper towels, and bark)into a tub to see what worked, for our final one(aim to filter the water)

 for our final one, (the order was)  paper towels, cotton balls, a sprinkle of sand, paper towels and cotton balls. It worked out okish it was a bit dirty though. Here is a picture!

My assembly

Last week we did our assembly we did a dance called "Anzac Day" it was about Maori battalions. Some people made up the first parts and others made the end parts of the dance. We also did a play. The name of it was "My Granddad walks on Anzac day". I was a watcher it was boring and fun at the same time. My assembly was very fun, thanks for reading!

Science week

This week is Science week and last Friday " Science in a van " came to our school. They showed us cool experiments with dry ice, hot and cold water and more. Also we got to do some things too, like learn about the periodic table and molecules in a fun way! I loved when they came to our school! Here is some photos :)

Shine day

On Friday we had shine day. It is called shine because we wear orange, and orange is a bright colour.
The purpose of it is to raise money for family's with domestic violence, so that day everyone looked crazy in orange!

swimming sports

Yesterday we went to "West wave" to our swimming sports.

I entered in the competitive swimming I did freestyle 25m and 50m,backstroke 25m and breaststroke 25m .I also did relays wail I was swimming I smacked my thumb on the side and got a blue/purple bruise. We nearleay missed swimming sports. Were at the end of the road waiting for about 30mins. wail we Were waiting there was a very fluffy white/cream courl fur,it kept on rowing on the grass.I really enjoyed swimming sports this year, I can't wait for next year!
